Model 714 NO2/NO/O3 Calibration Source

  • This calibrator is a highly portable transfer standard for three pollutant gases without the need for a compressed cylinder of nitric oxide.
  • Has an intuitive touch-screen interface and capability for remote operation (Modbus TCP/IP)
  • Uses photolysis of oxygen in scrubbed ambient air to produce ozone
  • Uses a patented process to photolyze nitrous oxide (N2O) to form nitric oxide
  • N2O is provided by disposable 8 or 16 oz cartridges typically used for making whipped cream
  • A surplus of NO is reacted with O3 to produce calibrated concentratons of NO2 (same method of producing NO2 as traditional GPT calibrators)
  • Traceability to NIST is linked to 2B Tech’s O3 standard

Method of NO Production

UV photolysis of Nitrous Oxide (N2O) at 185 nm

Method of O3 Production

UV photolysis of Oxygen (O2) at 185 nm

Method of NO2 Production
